Paola,

Are you familiar with the LDS Family History Centers?

The Mormon Church (LDS) has microfilmed civil records from Busso (1809 - 1910). These include births, marriages, deaths, etc.
Here is the link to the film notes...

You can rent and view these films at your nearest FHC for a fee (usually $5.50 for a one month rental)
For nearest center enter your zip code on this site...

You can also write directly to the comune (town) of Busso to request birth records.

You should write your request in Italian. Help with letters...

Send no money, but do include a self-addressed UNSTAMPED envelope as a courtesy...

Address:
Ufficio dello Stato Civile
Via A. Manzoni, 5
86010 Busso (CB)
ITALY

Possible manifest for Maria and Nicolangelo Brunetti...
Arriving 1906 on the Nord America. Maria was 14, and Nicolangelo was 17.
They were from Busso...
Going to their sister Teresa @ 580 Morris Ave, NY(?)

There were two children named Liberato Albanese born in Busso in 1884. The first was born on 05 FEB 1884, the son of Giovanni Albanese and Lucia Battista. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732872/NATI 1884/Numero 9, 10 FEB 1884. This Liberato and his family are more fully discussed in the following thread:

http://italiangenealogy.tardio.com/Foru ... art=0.html

The second was born on 22 AUG 1884, the son of Domenico Albanese and Mariantonia Ranallo. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732872/NATI 1884/Numero 62, 26 AUG 1884. I believe that this is your Grandfather. The date of birth matches that of the WWI and WWII draft registration cards that Tessa posted above (as well as on the other thread), which cards appear to be those of your Grandfather.

The birth record of your Grandfather did not include the given name of your Great Grandmother, only her surname - Ranallo. However, the birth records of other, earlier born children did include her given name - Mariantonia.

The Family of Domenico Albanese and Mariantonia Ranallo

Nicola Albanese, son of Domenico (di Nicola) Albanese, age 23, contadino, and Mariantonia (di Nicola) Ranallo, age 21, was born on 27 NOV 1872 in Busso. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732872/NATI 1872/No. 59, 29 NOV 1872.

Maria Filomena Albanese, daughter of Domenico (di Nicola) Albanese, age 27, contadino, and Mariantonia (di Nicola) Ranallo, age 25, was born on 12 SEP 1874 in Busso. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732872/NATI 1874/No. 47, 13 SEP 1874.

Giovanni Albanese, son of Domenico Albanese, age 30, contadino, and Mariantonia Ranallo, was born on 24 JUN 1878 in Busso. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732872/NATI 1878/Numero 46, 27 JUN 1878.

Nunzia Albanese, daughter of Domenico Albanese, age 32, contadino, and Mariantonia Ranallo, was born on 30 MAY 1881 in Busso. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732872/NATI 1881/Numero 40, 01 JUN 1881.

Liberato Albanese, son of Domenico Albanese, contadino, and _________ Ranallo, was born on 22 AUG 1884 in Busso. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732872/NATI 1884/Numero 62, 26 AUG 1884.

There may be other children since I only did a quick index search.

Note that the birth records of Nicola Albanese and Maria Filomena Albanese both state that your GGF Domenico Albanese was the son of Nicola Albanese and your GGM Mariantonia Ranallo was the daughter of Nicola Ranallo.

Your Grandmother Maria Francesca Brunetti, the daughter of Antonio Brunetti, age 30, contadino, and Filomena Picciano, was born on 21 FEB 1892 in Busso. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732873/NATI 1892/Numero dieci 10, 23 FEB 1892.

Your Grand Uncle Alfredo Nicolangelo Brunetti, the son of Antonio Brunetti, age 30, contadino, and Filomena Picciano, was born on 20 MAY 1889 in Busso. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732873/NATI 1889/Numero quarantatre 43, 22 MAY 1889.

I found one other sibling, Maria Giuseppa Brunetti, the daughter of Antonio Brunetti, contadino, and Filomena Picciano, contadina, was born on 06 MAY 1886 in Busso. Source: Busso (Campobasso). Ufficio dello Stato Civile, Registri dello Stato Civile, 1809-1910, FHL INTL Film 1732873/NATI 1886/Numero 25, 08 MAY 1886.

There are probably other children since I only did a limited index search.
