My Italian isn't real good but I can give you an idea of what he said. Maybe someone else will be kind enough to give you a full translation.

He says hello and asks how are you

Says he's answering you soon today, in Italy there were 2 earthquakes - one in 1960 and the other on November 23, 1980. Your grandfather was born in another house. You wanted to know which relatives were not interested and it's the attorney in Milan. The attorney says that by now you have your life and we have ours so you are of little interest to him and this displeases Gerardo also. He will be in touch soon.

Like I said, maybe someone else can give you a cleaner more exact translation.

veramente nussuno ha mostrato interesse: truly no one has showed interest

Sorry to add that tidbit for you. I hate being the bearer of bad news. He sends you a kiss though (un bacione) ;)

Ok, so it is time for the snipes at lawyers. LOL. Actually, I am one too, but this fellow in Milan deserves it.

I wish you could take a snipe at him Poipuo. He deserves a good kick in the butt for being so rude.

Hello my friends, since I am hitting a brick wal or sorts with my Parente family I thought I would give my Mirra side a shot. I am writing a letter asking for information. Could someone please let me know if I am asking for the correct information and where I could send the letter.
Here is what I have written:

LETTER ASKING ABOUT GRANDFATHER MIRRA'S FAMILY
Salve,
Grazie infinite, cordiali Saluti
Charles Parente

Hello friends. Here is another e-mail from Gerardo. I must be frank with all of you. What you don't see are my e-mails to Gerardo. I use the translator on the computer to translate my english into italian. I have asked many times for information that he may have and how we would go about finding additional information and I get not mention of it in his e-mails to me. I have asked many times for him to send a picture of him and his family and I receive nothing. I have asked many times about where he went on a month long vacation and receive nothing. Frankly I am not making any headway with Gerardo when it comes to adding information to my family tree. I am not advancing my tree. Do you think I am wasting my time???? :?
Thanks for letting me vent. If you would please let me know what he has said I would appreciate it.

Ciao Charles, rispondo subito

Hi Chuck,

I'm not fluent in italian but I'll do my best.

Hello Charles,
I'm answering your email immediately, here my family and I are all well and I hope everything is well with your family, my wife is interested to treat the house and the boys, they study, my daughter Antonella this year attends the last year of school, while the the little one Emilio is in the
third year. Autumn is coming and after that cold and from that much snow falls.
Here it has been two years that no snow falls.

For now I salute you a strong bacione Gerardo.

I don't know what bacione is Chuck sorry. But I'm guessing it means a big hug.

If anyone else can look at the post feel free to correct anything I may have gotten wrong.
