If you are looking for people living in Brazil now, you could try searching in the White Pages Telephone Directory.

http://www.telesp.com.br/

There are several SPAGNOLO names listed. If you know the first names of individuals and/or the town they are in, that would be helpful to you. Once you narrow it down, you could write to some to find out if they are from the family you are seeking.

There are 7 PAGNOLO listed as arriving from Italy to Brazil. 4 males and 3 females. Not knowing your research objectives precludes any further discussion. Please specify what you want to know since Brazil genealogy is complicated by differing websites for the various sates in Brazil. =Peter=

Thanks Peter/Bette.
Giacomo Spagnolo 1883 from Rotzo went to America in 1910 to Staunton Illinois.
Then he is in the 1920 census at St Clair Ill as Jack Spagnolo, we were told that from America he went to Brazil, do not know the year or where in Brazil.
Hope this is some help, Thanks

AMEDEO SPAGNOLO from is listed inthe ellisisland.org website coming from Rotzo, Italy and whatever aditonal information you can provide would be helpful in determining just where inthe several states in Brazil he went to live since there are no central record keeping archives. Perhaps if we can find a listing for Amedeo Spagnolo in one of the telephone directories it might identify his area of residence but thenthe problem of interpreting Portuguese websites comes into play. But one thing at a time. =Peter=

Hi Peter
I was looking for Giacomo Spagnolo 1883 from Rotzo, listed at Ellis Island records for 1910 and went to Stauntion Illinois.
At some point in time he went to Brazil, I will try and find out what state he went to.

I found Amedeo Spagnolo in Ellisisland.org arriving in NYC in 1923 at age 21 destined to his Uncle Domenico Del Pozzo in Staunton, Illinois. His town of origin is ROTZO Italy. He must be the Giacomo's son or nephew and I did not even look for Giacomo to be honest since Jack sometimes is a nickname in NY. =Peter=

If Gracomo Spagnolo (27 Feb 1883) had a WW1 Draft Registration Card 1917-1918 he must have been a naturalised citizen.
Where do I find his naturalisation papers?
Thanks
