NOBILE-BIRTH CERTIFICATE FROM NAPOLI

Post by daniella370 »

I wrote before about my great grandfather's birth certificate, just for information before responding I already have been through the following sites:
ancestry.com
ellisisland.org
1920 and 1930 census ( he did not live in New Jersey when hen migrated)

I did however find my grandfathers:
WWI registration card
petition of naturalization
1930 census
marriage and death record

but I need my great grandfathers birth certificate from Napoli to continue the process... sorry I wasnt clear before

I know that my great grandfather was born in Naples, but i do not have his birth date, just the year he may have been born. I do know he then moved to Ustica, and married my great grandmother.

any suggestions since I do not have the actual birth date? he may have been born in 1861.

I also know he did go to NY from Ustica or Naples but all the records on Ellis Island do not match the year he was born.

Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on the above. His name was Enrico Nobile.

Hello!
We would be happy to help, but could use a bit more information.
Have you found either your g-grandfather or g-grandmother on any US records.
Did your grandfather's Petition have his immigration information on it?
Thank you, Valarie

Another option would be to look thru the Naples births yourself.
Once you find your g-grandfather's birth information, you could order a copy from the comune
(if it's for citizenship purposes)

Your nearest Family History Center has records for Naples on microfilm.
The cost is about $6 mo (rent), you’ll need to go to the center to order & view them.

Finding a birth r ecord in Naples seems to be an expensive pursuit if you don't know the area/town of birth. The number of films is huge to search.

Only my observation.

Military records in the Archivio di Stato in the relating provincial capital would be a source. =Peter=
