Which Italian Village in Frosinone? - Capaldi
In Cassino, January 1894 my Great, Great Grandparents Giuseppe Capaldi and Maria Giuseppa Tedesco were married. They came over to Scotland, UK and in Edinburgh 1900, my Great Grandfather Michele Frederick Capaldi was born, along with older siblings already around. They then moved to Bristol, UK and completed a family of 10 Children.
I am trying to find out further information to where Giuseppe was from and born, and his parents names etc.
Any help or connections to possible family would be appreciated.

Hi, by Mormon's microfilms you can search the marriage act
Topic Italy, Frosinone, Cassino - Civil registration
Titles Registri dello stato civile, 1809-1900 Cassino (Frosinone). Ufficio dello stato civile
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library ... umns=*,0,0
and especially this microfilm:
Matrimoni 1870-1900 FHL INTL Film
1883357 Item 6
and you can search the marriage act and the banner's marriage; in the banner you can find all info that you need abt groom and bride...
best regards,
suanj

you must find the marriage's banner ( see from november 1893 until jan 1894) in this microfilm
Titles Registri dello stato civile, 1809-1900 Cassino (Frosinone). Ufficio dello stato civile
www.familysearch.org/e...umns=*,0,0
and especially this microfilm:
Matrimoni 1870-1900 FHL INTL Film
1883357 Item 6
and in marriage banner it are the info abt birthplaces, parent's name of groom and bride; when you find it you can know the age and where Giuseppe Capaldi was born, and where he was resident at marriage's time, who was the parent's names; it is that you are searching for? by this info you can search more;
but for now, as first step, it is necessary to find where he was born ( if in Cassino or near), where he was resident, when he was born ( marriage year- age) and parent's names...

Re: Which Italian Village in Frosinone? - Capaldi
Thanks Suanj, but i checked through the Microfilm and did not find my g/g/grandparents on the Cassino Matrimoni's 1870-1900.
I have a copy of my g/gtrandfathers birth certificate, and on there it says the parents names, profession and place of marriage, it says: 25th January 1894 Cassino Italy.
What else can i do? Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks!
p.s. I checked every date from 1870 to 1900 on the microfilm and noticed some years were missing and some with only a couple of marriages, but 1894 being completely stuffed with marriages compared with any other year, is this odd???

I know not why you no found it... if the 1894 is complete, the marriage record must be here! maybe you can request a copy of marriage act directly in Frosinone Archive; recently, a friend no found a marriage record also ( another italian place) in the microfilms; well, by Archivist was found... I know not why it are some gap on the microfilms, but sometimes it are the gapjamiecapaldi wrote:Thanks Suanj, but i checked through the Microfilm and did not find my g/g/grandparents on the Cassino Matrimoni's 1870-1900.

Can you post your GGrandfather's birth record. Many Cassino records were lost in WW2. The Cassino records were filmed at the Tribunale and are the reconstructed records.

ok, so the marriage info are on a UK birth certificate ...
we have not the prof that the info, abt marriage place, is correct... maybe they said Cassino meaning some little village near Cassino.. or also, married in other town... both the surnames are in Cassino, so I cannot understand why you no found it on the microfilm...

Re: Which Italian Village in Frosinone? - Capaldi
Do you know of any other microfilm which would show all marriages in Frosinone or something?
Another thing i noticed is the years of married on the 1911 census i found in Ireland. It says they have been married for 21 years???
Here is the link:

But i have checked from 1870 to 1900 on the Cassino microfilm and it only shows 1 marriage in 1880? Also lots of years in between missing???
