ANYONE OUT THERE READ ITALIAN?????????

Post by band09mom »

I found a picture of two children. The back of the photo has their names, but there is something written above their names in Italian. I was wondering if anyone could translate this for me. It is very hard for me to read their handwriting, but here goes:

Ricorto tei juoi vipote

That is a very rough guess. If anyone thinks they can translate this, it would probably be better for them to see it. Please write back and I will send you my email address with a copy of the back of the picture. Thanks so much.

It doesn't mean that the grandchildren are dead. Think of"ricordo" as in "happy keepsake" or "reminder of".

I would read it as a child living far away sending mum and dad a photo of their grandchildren.

Regards.

Thanks so much for the information. I just wish I knew who the children were, but of course no one can help me with that. Thanks again.

"I would read it as a child living far away sending mum and dad a photo of their grandchildren."

yes, that's right. I didn't find the right word for the translation.
