Looking for Biasi lineage

Post by eastside2 »

First timer. I am trying to determine where in Italy my Great Grandmother was from and her fate after coming to America. Also who my Great Grandfather was and where in Italy he was from.

Great Grandmother: Eileen Josephine Biasi, at the time of the 1920 Census had two sons: Angelo and my Grandfather Rinaldo or James Rinaldo. She was born in 1891, came to America in 1914, lived in Chicago and was widowed by the time of the Census in 1920. My Grandfather Rinaldo was 1.5 years old at the time.

Awesome, thanks to all. I now know something about my Great Grandfather and more about my Great Grandmother. The information will certainly give me a good start and help me trace the lineage in Italy.

Greetings:

Here is a great site that will help you understand where Cartigliano is.

http://www.tuttitalia.it/veneto/95-cartigliano/

Also, if you want to order micro films to do additional research, they can be ordered on loan for $5.50 each. The records go back to 1872 From the State Archives.

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library ... 1&last=100

Your Biasi ancestry comes from about 15 miles from where my Biasi roots come from. Very interesting!!
