I am looking for my great great grandfathers family, sister, brothers, parents etc. His name was Jasper, he left Palermo when he was 12. It's possible he had a sister called Maria. We have a letter and it's addressed to Felicia Ventimiglia in Palermo. Can any one help. Or canI help anyone???

When did Jasper came to America...? Is he your G2 or G3grandfather? When was he born etc... Maybe you could clarify the name Jasper as well... what is the date on the letter addressed to Felicia Ventimiglia? Who wrote the letter to Felicia etc... do you know what is written in the letter? This forum is great for help... just need a little more info from you! mfjp

Jasper went to Ireland first I think, about 1860 not sure. Then onto Cardiff, Wales with his wife Annie Neville. The letter to Felicia was dated 1951, Jasper died about 1955. (he was very old!)

Hi: Felicia Ventimiglia married BIUSO exact spelling...(=in Buiso mistaken)
this are Biuso in Palermo, nobody in Via(=street) Matteo Bonello

The Via Matteo Bonello are near Palermo's Cathedral ...
Now: for know some info about ancestor parents, I think are necessary to send an letter to someone of this persons, Ventimiglia or Biuso..
But are better if you know also the first name of father Jasper and mother's name for send an request to Palermo Common about"certificato Storico di Famiglia"(=Family story certificate) of Jasper's father.. in this certificate are many infos about brthers and sisters of Jasper.. you have other details? Please let me know..

It's shure your ggrandfather name was GASPARE VENTIMIGLIA, Jasper is it's translation in english. Ventimiglia is very common in Sicily and the family has a very long and significant history.
Felicia Ventimiglia in Biuso (Biuso is correct, not Buiso) means that mrs Felicia Ventimiglia married a man whos family name was BIUSO and you wrote that the family Biuso-Ventimiglia lived in Palermo.
