Are you looking for an Italian surname? Do you need more information about your family heritage?
This is the right place to start your genealogy search.
I am looking for a relative in Italy. Does anybody know an Alberto Squillante in Via Comare, Itlay? Don't know where to start. Need
help. Any posts would be greatly appreciated!

Via Comare appears to be a street name, not the name of a town/city. The only place with "comare" in the name is the frazione (neighborhood) Boscomare which is part of the comune of Pietrabruna in the province of Imperia (in Italy's northwest).
The Italian telephone directory lists 4 persons named Alberto Squillante. Perhaps one of these is the one you seek?

Suanj,
This is the only address I know. I have been sending him birthday cards every year here in the U.S. but for some reason, the one I sent in 2007 was sent back to me with the address Via Comare, Italy. He is a retired doctor. 78 years old.

Would you mind giving us the exact address you were sending the Christmas cards to?
Perhaps you were sending to "Bleaker Street" and they were telling you that he is now on "Comare Street" (Via = street, road) in the same town.

Suanj and Johnny,
Thank you for your info and links which made me look for that old christmas card that I sent dated 2004. I have originally sent it to Riverview Hospital Redbank, New Jersey. It was sent back to me with an address in Italy. Here is the complete address.
Via Coumaye UR35
Rome, Italy 00135.
He is retired now. Thank you to both of you for giving me the link to the italian telephone directory. I will be making my letters and send them to those addresses. Again thank you and wish me luck
Hi Suanj,
The list of Alberto Squillante in the white pages of the Italian telephone directory= are they all in Roma, Italy? Because it looks like it does not list the city, only name street number and address and telephone number. I am planning to write each one of the addresses and inquire. I am afraid my letters might get lost. I would also want to search for his birth records and get a copy as well. He was born in Catania, Italy on 11/1/1931.
You know what i'll just email you on your website and tell you my whole story. I have visited Italian Origin Search just recently. Hoping for your reply.

Giugliano In Campania (NA)
Cimitile (NA)
Salerno (SA)
nobody in Roma, but maybe he use the mobile and for that is not in the directory...

An Italian novel for kids called "La Freccia Azzurra" (The Blue Arrow) says that all the children in the world wait for Christmas Eve to get presents from Santa Clause, but Italian kids are the luckiest in the world because they get presents again on the 6th of January by the Befana. Who is the Befa...
