Paternoster - Laucello families, campomaggiore potenza, italy

Post by rovern »

My grandmother was Rosa Laucello Paternoster (I believe her passport might read Paternostro) I cannot find when she came to America, I believe anytime between 1923 through 1925. I have searched Ellis Island records and other sites but cannot find her in any of those years.

To Pink67 Thank you. I still am trying to double check. It seems correct but i assumed my father Francisco sent for her after he came back from the war and married in 1922. Are you in Italy. I have written to secure the passport info to get a date BUT I STILL CHECKED AGAIN IN BOSTON and could not find this data. THANK YOU -- THANK YOU

I believe this could have been the first arrival in the U.S. for Francesco Lauciello:

http://www.ellisisland.org/EIFile/popup ... &line=0029

Francesco Laucello, age 22, married?, from Campomaggiore to Wellsville Ohio to join his brother (no name)...note he was travelling with his brother Laucello Giovanni, age 37, going to the same place...
He is listed under "Fratello=brother, Francesco"

an possible this is a subsequential arrival on 1907:

http://www.ellisisland.org/EIFile/popup ... &line=0015

Lauciello Francesco, age 25, from Campomaggiore but last residence Canton-Ohio, was in the U.S before, from 1902 to 1906, going to join his brother Rocco...

Laura, my grandmother's brother was not in the u.s. previously and was not married at that time. he claimed he was married when he had a son Joseph born 1908 and a son Michael 1n 1910. He stated his wife died in wellsville, Ohio on July 31, 1917. I have an affidavit signed by him and notaried when he came to Utica, NY around 1917 or 1918. He must have come to Utica, NY with my father after the war. There are several Francisco Laucello's. I found a 1910 ohio census and he is listed as LANCEELO. Broken English would pronounce Laucello as Lanceelo. I remember him in Utica, NY in 1926 when he died. Yhanks for helping I would like to try to secure Passport info as to his departure from Campomaggiore. thank you. I never heard my father mention that he had another uncle in America. thank you
