Hi guys :-)

When I blew the document up it became very distorted :-(

Any chance you can rescan or clear that up, Jim?

Then we can all have another go at it!

I'm putting my two cents into this, although it doesn't make sense to me. I see the words verificato and also sepoltura.

I am pretty sure about verificato but I think the sepoltura is not correct. That would have to do with burial and I also think the letter before what I think is a t is not an l.

Have to agree with Peg. Looks like verificato...

Don't think it provides much information for you Jim.

I didn't want to overlook it and I couldn't figure it out. Since I had never seen it before, it peaked my curiosity. I want to thank you both for putting my mind at ease.

The last word on second line almost looks like Dicembre, but that doesn't make sense to me either. I think it is verificarlo and not verificato and that per is definitely in front of the infinitive plus the pronoun lo for it. Sorry but my undergraduate degree is in English, so I am looking at parts of speech!

I am wondering if it is the official title and signature below that of the official who verified the document. I was expecting the word for "seen" such as visto before the words per verificarlo

Wow! I guess I started something. I'm sorry. Your dedication is showing through. I'm sure it is appreciated by all.
Maybe you should stop while you are still sane.
