Dear Tessa, thanks so much for the delete info. Whew. I know, isn't strange about that Carlo/Antonio stuff. Either way, it will work itself out as I move along.

I have another question. A while back I notices on Family History Center under Parma, that they had a large listing for Census. The years don't look 10 year apart like ours. They also don't give you an idea whats in the census or where. do you know anything about italian Census, have you ever used them. Will also look into suggestions of understand the documents.

Thanks pansy. I'll be entering all the good info you gave me on the documents into my ancestry. Should keep me busy for a while.

Hello pansy,
Glad to help... :-)

You might want to read this thread here on the forum about the Italian Census.

The films listed on the FHC site cover censuses from 1545-1769.

I have a baptism record that I would like to have translated. I uploaded it to imageshack. Do I just paste it to a message like this? I just stumbled onto this site and joined. This is all new to me.

Thank you,
Diane :D
