Use the Italian yellow pages to locate churches in your town:

http://www.paginegialle.it/

type in chiese cattoliche where it says cosa

and the name of your town where it says dove

for hospitals, you can do the same as above, but type in ospedali where it says cosa.

Of course, the hospitals in the town today may not be the same hospitals that were there in the 1880s. Bear in mind though, that the birth more than likely took place at home. It was not common for our ancestors to have been born in hospitals or even to have died in those facilities.

I have no idea who gave you that address but I found that it is a paving company.

After a child's birth, it was physically presented at the town hall, normally by the infant's father, unless he was away, in which case the midwife would present the infant. Then the town officials would create the infant's birth record based on the information told to them by the informants (the infant's father or the midwife). The birth records are housed in what is called a registry office (anagrafe office in Italian) in the town's town hall.

read this short website on Italian Genealogy Form letters for birth, marriage and death records which you can send to the Uffico di SDtato Civile in Cervinara at the address maestra 36 furnished you.

TRhere is no charge for documents justhave to wait 4-8 weeks.

I can't remember who gave me all of the Marchese's in my Grandfathers town, some one on here..the name I picked was just at random to show you how it was written and that it seemed to be missing something as far as an address..whats so funny about it, is that my Grandfather was the owner of Belmar Construction Company..located in Troy, N.Y..he was very famous..put in the original parking lots at Jones Beach and all kinds of things. Those names I was given a list of 30 I think. I want to write them all, but the addresses all seem to be missing something.

I don't understand how this is..
Americanized:
Marchese = surname
Stefano = given name
V. Casino Bizzarro, 6 = 6 Casino Bizzarro Street
83012 = CAP Code (ZIP Code)
Cervinara = comune/town
(AV) = Province code (state)

You can address an envelope:

Marchese Stefano (or Stefano Marchese)
V. Casino Bizzarro, 6
83012 Cervinara AV
ITALY

In most of the civilized world, CAP/ZIP codes are listed at the beginning of the line and house numbers at the end of the line - opposite the format in the US.

If you are mailing from the US, then you should use "ITALY" in all caps and all alone on the last line of the address.

This is US Postal Service requirement per http://www.usps.com/international/addre ... ail.htm#H1
