Amy---did you happen to notice Avatars only work for some people? I've pulled mine from a link, which is well under the maximum Pixels and size allowed, and all that appears is that red X. I've even tried using one of Tardio's avatars...Still that red X. I see you have the same problem, yet some people it works for. Wonder what the issue is?

James,

The reason we can't see our avatars is because well, mine is too big and it never worked, even when I fit it within said dementions. I think I just couldn't manipulate the pixels to suit and still show the avatar which was my face. Regardless this site has a list of avatars that seem to work, the ones I've seen at least are all from the generic given list for this site. I did try that as well and it didn't work, mostly because it wouldn't delete the picture I already put up. I'm generally pretty good with this stuff but frankly I just gave up. My only advice to you is to contact the webmaster/admin to get some help. I'm sorry I don't have better answers..

Peter,

You have a PM.

Ciao, ~Amy

It must be something about this forum, I have Avatars on all the others I am on. I resized the jpg I wanted to use, and also tried using one of Tardio's (this forum) as well...still that darn X! Oh well.....

Thanks :)

James,

I did the same thing, but it wouldn't delete the picture I had resized, so I just let the picture be its usual size and forgot about it. I only frequent one or two other forums but I've always been able (and so has everyone else been able to post pictures).

Hey have you tried putting it in your signature? I think you could pull that off..
