Welcome to the Forum!
We would be happy to help!
We would need a bit more information though to be sure we have the correct family:
spouse(s) names, approx birth dates, locations in the US, etc
Are you interested primarily in help finding US records or direction on how to find Italian records, or both?
Thank you, Valarie

I believe you have located my grandmother Pasqueline Forgione and her brother Vincenzo. The address also could be correct, because later they purchased a house very close by on Marconi Place, Brooklyn. Any other information you have would be so very much appreciated. Thank you so very very much.

That's great, we'll see what we can do
Was Pasqualina's married name Barbaro/Barbato?
Also, if you haven’t used these, they may help you locate New York City records for your family.

Yes, yes, my grandmothre was Pasquelina Barbaro (correct spelling is BARBARO) her children were Mary, Michelina and Dominico. Us grandchildren were always told that she remarried and her name became pasquelina CEGLIO. Her three children took the last name of CEGLIO after she remarried. We were also told that her maiden name was FORGIONE and she had two brothers Vincenzo and Carmine. Pasqueline came to NY on the SS Sicilian Prince on Nov 8, 1906. Can any of this info be true. You have been so helpful, I'm so excited. Please tell me more. Thakn you a million times

Hi!

Her census records are proving to be difficult to find (so far)

Here's the marriage record for Pasqualina and Carmine:

Name Marriage Date Marriage Certificate Number County FHL roll number
Barbaro Carmine Dec 9 1916 15451 (1916) Kings 1613707
Ceglia Pasqualina Dec 9 1916 15451 (1916) Kings 1613707

OK Now that makes sense. Because Pasquelina first husband's name was CEGLIO. All three children had the last name of CEGLIO. At some point CEGLIO either died or went back to Italy to fight in the war. (WE were always told, never to return or died there). Later she married Barbaro. Pasquelina died in May 1966 in Queens, NY.
I can't believe you could find so much information for me in such a short time.
Growing up I knew my grandmother, Pasquelina and her brother Vincenzo, but I never knew she had another brother named Carmine.

I found ship records of the SS Sicilian Prince from Nov 18, 1906 that lists her mother Angela Cipriano (maiden Name) coming to NY with her children Pasquelina age 13, Vincenzo age 6 and Carmine age 3. They were meeting their father Giovanni Forgione in NY

Can you found out what happened to Carmine as I never knew there was a second brother?
You have been so wonderful and helpful. Thanks again

FORGIONE

Question
Did Vincenzo Forgione go back to Italy for several years coming back to the US abt 1921?
Best guess, Pasqualina stayed in the US, brothers Vincenzo and Carmine went back to Gesualdo abt 1915 (WWI)
Thank you
