Hello Everyone,
It's been awhile since I have been here as it seems I have been everywhere else looking for Obituaries with no luck at all. One brick wall after another.
I am hoping that "my Family" here can help me.
Big Brother John and I are desparately looking for the obituaries of our Paternal Grandparents which may help us find more clues to work on to further our research on our Paternal side.
Velia Pasquale B: 1875- D: July 1938 (30 days later her husband died)
Giovanni Pasquale B: 1865 - D: Aug. 1938
Both died in the North End, Boston, Ma. (Salem Street)
Both are buried at St. Michael's Cemetary (Forest Hills) Jamaica Plain, Ma.
So many here have been so helpful in the past (too many to name) and you are all appreciated so much for all you do.
Keeping my fingers crossed here that someone will find what I have been trying to find now for several months.
Grazie, LaBud

Re: Desparately seeking 2 Obituary notices
Obituary notices cost money. Maybe they didn't publish the death notice.

Since you know the exact dates and places of death, try contacting the research desk at the nearest library and see if they can scan through newspapers for you.
I was able to get obituaries for all four of my grandparents in that manner.

Have you contacted the cemetery? They often have additional forms, etc. that might have information that you didn't have previously. The funeral home might also have some as well as a copy of the obituary.
Re: Desparately seeking 2 Obituary notices
Thankyou all for the suggestions.
Next time I go up to Boston I will make it priority to hit the Library and also the Cemetary Office.
Carmine, I appreciate the link you posted. It gave me a lot of direction.
Now it's back to looking for Bambina (Pasquale) DiCioccio B:1868
I sure hope she had a life jacket on as I am convinced she along with her 2 S-I-L's missed the boat and swam over.
Ciao, LaBud

I was dealing with a Westchester County, NY library. Contacted the Research Desk by email and had the obituaries in hand about a week later. For free! A donation to the library fund was suggested which I gladly paid.LaBud wrote: Next time I go up to Boston I will make it priority to hit the Library ...

Is DiCioccio her married or maiden name?LaBud wrote:Now it's back to looking for Bambina (Pasquale) DiCioccio B:1868

Approximately when did they arrive? In the US, I presume...
What were the sisters-in-law's names? Maiden/married.

Re: Desparately seeking 2 Obituary notices
Hi Carmine,
In an earlier post you will see Bambina (Pasquale) married Andrea DiCiocco. Their son Guisseppe came here 1st to W. Hartford, Conn. and then his father Andrea followed to live with his son. We do know that Bambina came over but just can't find her.
(Pasquale) is her maiden name.
We also know that the 2 S-I-L's came as well... they too are in prior posts under my profile, all posts by me.
Francesca Frattorolli who married Francesco Pasquale B:1871 lived in Boston, Ma.
Beradina Forcucci married Antonio Pasquale B: 1873 lived in Boston, Ma. as well.
I don't want to duplicate posts as that is not fair to others and also confusing. I don't know how to pull them forward.
Grazie, Carmine

LaBud,
I just sent a letter to the cemetery office and they emailed me a copy of the paperwork.

Hello All,
Could the person who replied to this message last week, please respond again?
When I went to check on the notice I received, that is when IG had a system failure and all info was lost over the last 4 months according to the notice posted by Nuccia.
You are all appreciated for all you do to help others.
Grazie, La Bud
