Page 2 describes the official procedure of asking each of the spouses whether they take the other as their husband/wife...

Following that is the naming of witnesses, Vincenzo Mastrangelo, 34, looks like pharmacist; and Giuseppe Pxxx?, 28, shop owner, both of whom live in the town.

Documents were presented...
The certificate of publication for 15th and 22nd of the last month of August.

Then a statement by the official that the act was read to all the participants and that the witnesses signed, but not the spouses because they were illiterate.

Diane
The phrase "residente in vita" means that, when she was alive, she was a resident, or lived in the town of Moliterno. Literally it translates to "resident in life."

I knew vita referred to life but, I couldn't understand how it related in this situation.

Thanks so much. :D
