I've been trying since last night to find some info about your ancestors, but they are remaining elusive to me. Possibly my fellow researchers on the forum will have better luck. In the meantime, are there any other details you can give us about them? Do you have any idea how old Amato was when he arrived in the U.S.? do you know if he ever used a different first name in the U.S. and what that name might be? do you know his parents' names? Do you know if his marriage to Sadie Mitts was a first marriage for both of them? do you have any records currently in your possession? We don't like to duplicate any info you may already have.

Wow....thank you all so much. His history has been completely elusive to me. I have hit walls left and right. I am fairly new at this. So I thank you greatly!!!!!!!!!

You all have no idea what this means to my family. The family history has always been that of secrets so no one knew anything but the basics. I have tried to find a marriage cert or birth cert or death cert. But was unsuccessful. My grandmother died last year and Amato was her father. The family was split up fairly early on due to the death of both Amato and Sadie.
I am just so thankful to all of you.

] I have no idea if this message is getting to the right place but I'll type it no the less. While Googling my father name I came across this site and was amazed to see so many familiar names listed. The James Bigam listed was my father and I thought you might like what information I have on him. He was born in Connersville, Pa. on August 2, 1915 and died on March 4, 1996. The Annabelle Lilley listed was no doubt my "Nana". We did not know much about my fathers family, but my Dad always talked about his nephew Johnny Rullo and about John Mitts. I know I met them many times but that was years ago. I guess the biggest surprise was that my Dad had relatives of Italian desent. My mothers family were all from Sicily but I thought all of my Dad's relative were all Irish, English, Scottish. I do hope this gets to the right place.
