Pietro PACIFICI and Eugenia MANCINI

Post by bevjax »

Pietro PACIFICI, known in Connecticut as Peter Pacific, was born 29 June 1892 .. his birthplace is given as Morolo, Lazio, Italy. He married Eugenia MANCINI in Pennsylvania about 1920. They had five sons all born in Pennsylvania. Peter and Eugenia died in Danbury, Connecticut. Looking for their families in Italy!

Hi and welcome to the forum,

First let me ask if you are sure of Peter's birth place because all records in Italy are found in the town of birth. Do you have ship's manifests and census records for your family?

Apparently Michelangelo made at least 3 trips to the US.

10 Pacifici, Michelangelo Morolo, Italy 42 1871 1913
11 Pacifici, Michelangelo Morolo, Roma 40 1869 1909
12 Pacifici, Mle. Angelo Morolo, Italy 35 1869 1904

I can post 2 of the manifests, but one is misfiled at Ellis Island.

Hi Tessa,

Looks like wife maria stayed in Italy. Too bad none of the manifests give her last name.

Hi mj... :-D

take a look at this "detained passengers" list...

There is a Ma Elena Pacifici
Date of the manifest is May 18, 1904
That is about 2 weeks after Michelangelo's May 1, 1904 manifest that we can't seem to pull up...

This ship is the Citta di Napoli arriving Ellis Island...
Maybe you can pull up this manifest...

This manifest is for a Ma Elena Pacifico, not the same family.
