Possible source of naturalization records for New Castle (Lawrence County) PA: http://www.co.lawrence.pa.us/prothonota ... gical.html

My concern is that if Vincenzo immigrated in 1948, he would not have naturalized until well into the 1950's at the earliest. I believe that by that time a significant percentage of naturalizaations were performed in the federal court system. That being the case, have you considered trying a National Archives search?

I have a strong suspicion that both Christopher (born 1935) and Angela (born 1938), listed on the 1948 manifest, are still living. Perhaps if you can track one of them down?

Whitepages.com lists a Christopher and a Chris in the right age group... http://www.whitepages.com/dir/a-z/capaldi/christopher

With a little further research, it looks like maybe Vincenzo's son Christopher's middle initial was "J" (looking at the FreeBMD birth record). If so, then perhaps the Christopher J. Capaldi, aged 65+, in Loveland, Colorado is someone you should try to contact.

Question: was Vincenzo's wife Teresa also a Capaldi? It sort of seems that way...

Hello Carmine, Yes that is Vincenzo in my Family Tree.
You are right about Cristopher Julian Capaldi. I might try see if its the right one. (bit far from New Castle though?)
I would look at national archives, but i dont know where to start?

Teresa was the sister of Jim Capaldi's dad (the singer! http://www.jimcapaldi.com ) Nicola.
I have been trying to find the name of Teresa's and Nicola's Grandparents, to see if they have a connection with my Family direct. Teresa and Nicola's parents were Pasquale Capaldi (1868, San Michele) and Angelina Pinchera.
They lived about 6 doors away from my family in Edinburgh, and about 6 houses the other way was a Antonio Capaldi, who was my GGgrandfathers cousin.
Pasquale and his wife had many children and ended up in Evesham. Vincenzo's sister also married one of the Brothers called Carmino!
I have searched all the lds records and as they did not return to Cassino, their records were not revamped!

Thanks, Jamie Capaldi

Jamie
I just chanced upon the following website and thought about you. You probably have already seen this. If you have, then maybe the website will be useful to someone else:
