There are 7 Gloriante listed in the PROVINCE of Salerno in various villages. In Italy all records are in the town or village of origion and it is a must to know the town where they were born. Go to www.paginebianche.it and insert GLORIANTE in the first line and SA (for province of Salerno) and you will finda listing for them by name, addres, telephone number and the town or village. If you know the town then please advise, if not then go to www.ellisisland.org for the location of the town if your ancestors entered the USA at NYC thru ellis island. Peter

PS.

Suanj is probably correct. The name Gloriante is from S. Lucia di Serino in Avellino province. Also the name Verderame is found in Serino a town near S. Lucia di Serino...

Check out the holdings of the Family History library at www.familysearch.org they may have the town records on microfilm.

Good Luck
