Looking for Info on Vincenzo Bagatin

My great grandfather's name was Vincenzo Charles Bagatin. he was born in Florence, Italy i believe somewhere around 1896. His mothers name as far as i can make out was Angella and his father's name begins with a G. The writing is hard to make out. As far as I know he came to Halifax, nova scotia Canada at the age of 16-17yrs. he married a woman named Florence Lillian Davidson on October 16, 1920. he worked as a Brick Layer.
he died around 1963. This is all the info I have. I hope someone will be able to tell me where to look for him or his family in Italy, or help figure out the Parents names on the marriage cert.

For the benefit of others here, Vincenzo emigrated to Halifax, Nova Scotia and that is where the marriage took place - is that correct?

Using this mapping tool ( http://www.gens.labo.net/en/cognomi/genera.html ), you can see that the Bagatin name is somewhat common in northern Italy today.

Father's first name on the marriage record is Giuseppe...

The last name (which appears first) looks like a sloppy version of Bagatin

Mother is Angella (probably should be spelled Angela) and last name looks like it ends in -aia or -eia.

Vincenzo Bagatin was my grandfather - Florence was his wife. My mother was Theresa Janice Antoinette Bagatin - they had 7 children
- Maria, Gina, Charles, Philamina, Bettina, Theresa and Jimmy (James). Only 2 remain - Phila and Betty.

Hi Francessca,
My name is Diane. I am vincenzo's son charles' granddaughter. I found out that vincenzo's mom's name was angella Bidoia. I also found a record at family search that lists an Nadalina Bagatin
born in 1880 Pasiano Di, Pordenone, Udine, Italy as a child aprox 10-11 yrs before vincenzo. Nadalina bagatin married a man named Vincenzo Santin they were Married on 09 MAR 1906 Pasiano Di, Pordenone, Udine, Italy. This is as far as I have gotten. I believe from what my uncle has told the family is that there is still family in Italy but not sure excatly where. I have been seraching to see if I can find out what Guiessepe and angella's parents names were but have had no luck so far.
Have you had much luck I was told that someone in the family has already done the family tree my my mother has yet to recieve any info. Has anyone you know know of the family tree that was done?
It was great to meet you I hope that we can stay in contact.
