Looking for Phillip (Filippo) Polizzi immigration documents

Post by trundo »

Hello Everyone,

I am still researching some Polizzi family ancestors.

I am having trouble locating Phillip (Fillipo) Polizzi believed to be born in Agira, Sicily approx. from 1870 to 1890's. He came to the U.S. per Family reunion documentation sometime between 1907 to 1930.

I have not been able to find a manifest to show he came to the U.S. which would also give me an approx. birth date to research in Agira.

Now there is a possibility that he was born in Troina since the older Polizzi ancestors are from Troina. But the father, Serafino, to Filippo was born in Agira and married in Agira.

The Polizzi Family
Serafino Polizzi - father

Giuseppe Polizzi - brother
Angelo Polizzi - brother
Grazia Polizzi - sister

Filippo arrived in the U.S. after Angelo Polizzi, which is 1907.

Filippo Polizzi only stayed a while in the U.S. and then moved to South America and was never heard from again.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Tom
