Hi
I wondered whether there are any Lombardi's still living in Birmingham, UK?
My ancestors Peter Ontonio Cerrone and Mark Cerrone were living in the italian quarter in Birmingham from around 1921 with a Lombardi Family at 7 court 10 House Bartholemew Street, after their parents died (Pasquale/ Percy and Concetta/Constance Cerrone).
Peter my grandfather passed away at 42 so I know very little about my family, my uncle Mark has also passed now and I would love to know stories, where they worked and what their life was like.
I believe the family ( Lombardi) was Vincent and Ashens, the mother and father, and there were Teressa, Annie and Kathleen who were the daughters and Peter, Freddic and Peter who were the sons.
If anyone has any info I would love to hear from you.
Many Thanks

Hello Tehmi.
I also was looking for aan Italian family(they most likely are related, though not proven) the parents were friends of my great grandparents and godparents to some of their children. I managed to trace the children of this couple, who they married, their children via Ancestry, up to abt the 1940s, I then looked on 192.com to see if any were there. I also did this with a cousin of my grandmother(another Italian) and found his widow. In both cases I rang them, expalined who I was, while there was iinterest on their part, it really wasn't followed up I'm afraid.
I had a quick look on FreeBMd and Ancestry and found the marriages of Peter and Frede? but could not find any children born to them, maybe they were not in Birmingham. Looking on 192.com there are a few Lombardis in Bham, but you have to pay to see the details.
I did find these births though:
Births Jun 1912 (>99%)
Lombardi Francisco Castelluci Birmingham 6d 295 Scan available - click to view
Births Dec 1913 (>99%)
Lombardi Antonia Castucello Aston 6d 867 Scan available - click to view
Births Mar 1916 (>99%)
Lombardi Domenico Castellucci Aston 6d 807 Scan available - click to view
Isn't Castellucci one of your names? Can't see a marriage though.

Fred Married Ada Maskell in 1941. Peter Married Mary Kelly in 1944.
I believe the Mothers name to be Ascenza Castellucci, Born 1875, died 1938. Father was, Vincenzo, Born 1871, died 1958.
I do not know where in Italy they were from, but if you look at this link of Sora, it might be a clue or could do with more investigating?:

Sheronb,
I have tried to get in touch with the italian researcher, but is not allowing me to send her a message through her website because of her privacy settings, any suggestions?
Thanks

Interesting about Ascenza Castellucci, as my grt grandmothers name was Concetta Castellucio before she married. They could be related maybe, my auntie thought they may have been relations, but was not sure.

You can find the present map of distribution of those surnames in Italy here:
http://www.gens.labo.net/it/cognomi/
It gives you an image about where they are most frequent today. You can presume that huge concentrations give a sort of place of origin of the surname.
It could be of some help

Tehmi and Sharon B,
I know we have shared in the past.
I have various Castellucci's in my tree, all from Sora.
I have some files from Anne Tatangelo relating to them in Sora.
My Castellucci's all arrived in Bham in approximate 1896.
I'll search some more to see if we have common names
