Livio can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the document is also saying that the notice that was received from the military hospital concerning Michele's death had his surname misspelled as Pacello, and his mother's maiden name misspelled as Bilio, and that this information was corrected in both the margin and body of the act to read Michele Paciello and Clemente Gilio.

Also, just for your information, the date of July 23, 1919 which appears at the onset of the record, is the date that the town hall of Pignola received the extract of Michele's death from the official of the civil state of the town of Bengasi who, in turn, had received the notice of his death from the military hospital.

Yeah, the correction was made according to a verdict issued by the tribunal of Bengasi dated March 13 1919.

Some additional info below from Riccardo about the military records. Thanks for your help, Riccardo.
Peg

Pignola is in the province of Potenza,
Military district in Potenza do not exist anymore since 1991, so all
the military records went to Military district of Salerno.
I have checked in Potenza state archive and still military records kept there are until 1896.

it is better to mail it, sometimes it is better someone call the military district in Salerno (they speak only italian) to know more about what the best way is to send the request and if there is any money or tax to pay in advance.
I hope it helps
