Carlogero Oddo and Rosaria Russo from Sicily

I am looking for information on the ancestry of my great Grandparents who came to America from Sicily in 1903. I was able to find their arrival on a May 14th, 1903 passenger list in New Orleans on Ancestry.com.

Carlogero (or Calogero) Oddo was from Palermo. I believe he was born in 1875 or 1876. Carlogero had a brother named Domenico and Frank (or Francesco), who also came to America. Domenico came with Carlogero.

I believe their father's name was Frank or Francesco Oddo.

Carlogero's wife was Rosaria Russo, she was from Alimena. She was born sometime around 1885. I believe her birthday is December 4th.

I am looking for any information on Carlogero or Rosaria's parents. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Carlogero (or Calogero) Oddo was from Palermo. I believe he was born in 1875 or 1876.

From the (payment) site Ancestry.com, from the military enlistment for the First World War you can see the birth date for Calogero:

I just noticed that on the 1903 arrival manifest them both stated that they were coming from Alimena...

However, I believe this could have been Domenico, Calogero's brother:

Thank you so much, Laura! That is him. He must have come to the states first in 1899. And then went back for his brother Domemico at some point.

And yes, I'm pretty sure, that is his brother Domenick's death record. He was a barber in Chicago.

I'm assuming the "Odde" in Calogero's Naturalization record index was a misspelling and not an alternate spelling of the Oddo surname in Sicily?

Hi, Marty.
Hmm. I am not sure. I will have to ask my great Uncle, Calogero's youngest son, who is still living. He was the one who provided the information about Calogero having a brother named Frank and Domenick.

Unfortunately he doesn't know much more about his Dad's time or his Grandparents in Italy. I'm really hoping to be able to provide him with information on his Grandparents.

My Grandfather, Salvatore (Sam) Oddo, was born in 1916 in Louisiana. And he said they moved to Arkansas sometime when he was young. Not sure how long they lived there. But I know they moved again to Chicago by the time my Grandfather was 18.
