Researching Morea family

Post by gemellua »

Am looking for any information (US census reports and Ellis Island
ship manifest) for Domenico Morea, his wife Antoinette,
and their children.
I do not have Antoinette's maiden name. I was recently
told they had many more children than the six I know of.
Here is what I have:

Domenico Morea (b: 1866 Bari, Italy-town may be Toritto
died Jan 1955-Bronx, NY)

Antoinette (b: 1872 Italy-maybe same town as Domenico
d: Mar 1951-Bronx, NY)

I have found an Ellis Island manifest listing a Domenico Morea and
I presume his brother Giuseppe arriving in NY 17 Oct 1900
from Toritto. Second sheet of manifest states they are going to
see brother Michele? Cannot find any arrival for Antoinette since
I don't know her maiden name.

Children: As far as I am aware all the children were born in NY.

Frank "Barrell" 1901-1964 - do not think he ever married
Vito "Willie" - 1905- 1989 (wife Grace)
Rosa (1906-1927)
Frank (1908-1986) (wife Anna) - yes they had 2 sons named Frank!
Isabella (1912-1949) (husband last name Leicht)
Giuseppe - b:? d: 2000)

Is it possible for me to request a death certificate for any of them
even though I am only related through marriage? Thank you.

Thank you adelfio and suanj!

Regarding my question about requesting death certificates for
Domenico and Antonietta - Do you think I will be able to receive
them since I am only related to their children by marriage?

There it is! Now I know why my Aunt was named Antoinette, and my middle name is Dominick. I am part Morea. I knew my great Uncle Frank as a yloungster, I am now 68. This is great news I will pass this on to mom. I have another post with some more details I know firsthand, I spent many hokidays visiting my rerlatives in tgeir Bronx brownstone. It was on Tinton Avenue. Love to hear back, this is wonderful! And Angiolina- must have been my grandmother who was xalled Lina. And my mom is Rose- must be from Rosa.
