Need help translating marriage document

Post by lorinigro »

I have the marriage document from 1874 (#14) for Francesco Paolo Nigro and Maria Carmela Di Persia. It doesn't need to be a word for word translation; I'm trying to get the main information from this document.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Thank you so much! Is there any mention of any children they each had prior to this marriage? I'm trying to keep everyone in my family tree straight but they all have the same names!

Giuditta's surname is Gioscia (I know it looks like an o at the end of the name, but the surname in the town is spelled with an a at the end)

I often copy it to IrfanView (freeware) that allows to darken it and to magnify it.

Marty
I often import the images into my Photo Impact Photo program and then make adjustments in contrast and brightness, but this time I just clicked on the image on the forum to enlarge it and had no problem reading it on my computer. I guess I've deciphered so many washed out documents over the years that this one just didn't seem that much of a problem to me.

Thanks for your compliment, T.
Peg
