Bartolone Family of Bagheria, Palermo

Post by jc4490 »

Because of the help I received at this forum, I was able to trace my family back very far. The oldest Bartolone I've been able to find is Carmelo Bartolone, born 1764 in Bagheria, died 7 May 1848, married to Domenica Gaipa. Their children were Domenico, Salvadore, Gregorio, Giuseppe, Maria, and Filippo. Filippo is my ancestor.

What I am looking for is a definite birth date for Carmelo Bartolone, and the names of his parents and/or siblings. But because this was so long ago, I'm not sure if records for that time are available...

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Italian Yellow pages show 10 listings for churches in Bagheria...
May want to narrow it down... Or write to all of them... :-)

Try this one! I believe it's the "Chiesa Madre" and it's the address I was given my the Stato Civile in Bagheria. I also have relatives in Bagheria and I just sent this church a letter too! Good Luck!
