Morena, Bruno families Marsico nuovo

Post by pixidragon »

I am 2nd generation born in America. I have a copy of my grandfathers birth certificate and his travel records. He was born luigi Morena March 3,1889
to Giovanni Morena and Bruno Maria Carmela
he left Italy August 7,1911.
his sister came to America as well I don't know anything about her if they traveled together or not. i believe her name was Margarete, she married
Tony Gallucci they settled in New York he was a tailor, my family settled in Minnesota
My grandfather and his sister were the only two I am aware of that left Italy, as always I am looking for more information. thank you

seeming the right family, but it are some discrepancies abt the children ...

however MORENA Margherita Raffaela( full name) was born in Marsico Nuovo on 29 jun 1896, daughter of Giovanni Morena( son of Michele) and of Maria Carmela BRUNO (daughter of Luigi); in the bottom, the marriage note: married in Marsico Nuovo on 5 March 1914 at Antonio Gallucci son of Teodosio Gallucci

Antonio Gallucci was born in Genzano di Lucania( Potenza province) and came in USA in 1916, tailor, last residence Marsico Nuovo, wife Margherita:

the birthdate is a bit wrong and by Florida deaths, the same person was born in 14 jun 1896

Name: Margaret Gallucci
Birth: 14 Jun 1896
Death: 14 Jul 1980 - Broward, Florida, United States

your Margherita Gallucci nee Morena was born on 29 Jun 1896; I believe that is the right death record...

hoping helpful,
