Ciao Guys--
I have this marriage rec, the groom was 43 (previously married) and the bride 28.
There's a note at the bottom of the rec saying that the father of the bride intervened and....can't make out what it says after that.
I'm going to attach it here. Maybe someone can figure out what else it says. I hope I re-sized it right!
REVISED: I just added a bigger pic. Let's see if this size works.
Thanks!
AG

Aliza,
It's still very, very small.

I just put up a bigger size. Sorry, I wasn't sure what size to make it.
Il padre della sposa ha intervenuto in questo atto ed ha prestato il suo......
That's the part I can make out. What's the last part? Anyone????

The father of the bride intervened and gave his consent to the marriage.aliza24 wrote:

Grazie! Those two words seem like a contradiction though, don't they--"Intervened" and "consent?" I guess I expected after hearing that the father of the bride intervened...that there would some sort of opposition. Interesting choice of words to use "intervened."
Well, thanks again! I really appreciate it.

Could be that my English is poor...aliza24 wrote:Grazie! Those two words seem like a contradiction though, don't they--"Intervened" and "consent?" Let me rephrase it
"the father was present and gave his consensus"
The father's agreement was required until a certain age of the spouses. Different age for the groom and for the bride, don't ask me which age, because I don't know...

No, your English is fine! I was just expecting something different after the word "intervened." In English when you use that word it implies that you are interrupting something, as in trying to stop it.
Thanks again!
