Marsicovetere Morte Handwriting Assistance

Post by fairhilleng »

I'm requesting assistance in determining the surname spelling on a few Death Records from Marsicovetere, Potenza, Basilicata
First Image:

I can't read the surname of the person who died- Maria Rosa ?
Father: Giacomo ? Mother: Antonia ?
Maria Rosa was married to Vincenzo Montemurro
Date of Death: ? Age at Death: ?

Next Image: http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/7398 ... llegat.jpg
Vincenzo Montemurro
Date of Death: ? Age at Death: ?
I can't read the surname of his mother: Rosa ?
This document also shows Vincenzo's wife's maiden surname Maria Rosa ?

Do you have any recommendations on what adjustments could be made to the image to make it more clear? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, John

The other is March 18, and it looks like 1857 to me.

Hi John,

First image...

Deceased and her father - surname looks like Argenzio
Mother of deceased looks like Cortese

Date looks to be what Sirena has stated, 1857, March 18

Maria Rosa died at 10 PM on the 18th, and the declaration was made on the 19th at the town hall by Francesco Montemurro, 60, son of deceased Giovanni; and Francesco Curcio, 40, son of deceased Pietro.

Second Image...

Maria Rosa's surname still looks like Argenzio to me...

I think Vincenzo's deceased mother's name is Rosa Curcio...
