how to write for record requests

Post by mthrof4 »

I recently sent an email to santo stefano--an email address given by Carmine and the email bounced back. Maybe the email is wrong or has changed. So, I'm going to write a letter.

Should I try writing a physical letter now?--and if so how much should I expect to pay. How does that all work?

Thank you for any help you can give.

The address for the comune is
Comune di S. Stefano di Camastra
Via Palazzo, 35
98077 S. Stefano di Camastra (MESSINA)
Italy
Email is on the website here is the website PEC (Posta Elettronica Certificata)
http://www.santostefanodicamastra.eu/pages/contatti.htm
Form letters for writing to Italy
http://www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearlsofwi ... tters.html
Records from the comune are usually free just the postage to send it back to you from italy which now is 1.60 Euro roughly $2.30 American whcih means 2 IRC coupons which are hit or miss.

In order to be able to write to a PEC e-mail you need to have your own PEC address, which is not easy if you live abroad.

It appears that I did in fact quote the pec email address; I know better - just wasn't paying attention I guess.

However, the website linked to in my earlier post ( http://www.santostefanodicamastra.eu/pages/contatti.htm ) does include non-PEC emails as well. You might try area.amministrativa@santostefanodicamastra.eu (remove the spaces).
