I am thinking that Calogero was born on December 8, 1869 not sure if that is coreect. 1st attachment calogero info is on the bottom right hand corner and I will post the second attachment in a seperate posting to follow Not sure if it says who also attended the birth? If anyone can assits this is the key to me exploring a bit further back in my history line. Thanks

Sorry that I was not clear enough.
The mother is: Angela Ragusa, daughter of the deceased Pasquale. No age and profession indicated.
Giuseppe and Domenico are 2 witnesses to the registration of the birth act.

Re: need help translating Birth Cert
To clarify: witnesses are not people who witnessed the birth, but who witnessed the registration. Is that correct?
Livio, perhaps you can discuss the role of witnesses and who typically filled this role. Municipio employees? People who happened to be in the municipio for some other reason and were dragged in to act as witnesses?

Carmine, your explanation is 100% correct and complete. This the reason why I do not care about witnesses in a birth record.
