Surname Bucio in Mexico

Post by aral131 »

Hey I'm looking for any information for the surname Bucio.

I think my great grandmother may have been Italian. She lived in Mexico during the Mussolini reign. I found out that many Italians fled Italy during that time. Her full name is Petra Bucio. Any information on the surname would be greatly appreciated.

It's a tough call: Ancestry . com shows several dozen Mexico-born Bucio's crossing the Mexican-US border into the US, so the name spelled with one "c" seems to have good local (Mexico) roots.
