By the way, I have a strong suspicion that the correct spelling of the name is Fittipaldi with a "p".

The "b" spelling does not exist at all in Italy whereas the "p" spelling is somewhat common. See http://www.gens.labo.net/en/cognomi/gen ... FITTIPALDI

There seems to be another guy, middle name Nicola/Nicholas, born around the same time, also from Accettura, who settled in the Philadelphia area.
