Alphonso Falletti

Post by gramzee2003 »

I am trying to find out about my Italian heritage. I know my grandfather came to America in 1900. His name was Alphonso Falletti....he married my grandmother Lucy May Rhoads, an american on October 18th 1903..I learned in a letter from his sister dated 11/18/1923...her name was Lina.....she married Checco Treccini and they had 3 children....Eugenio, Alberto and Niny....at the time the letter was written they lived in Rieti Italy.....I know my grandfather's mothers name was Emelia....so this is all I have...not much.....there was also a letter from Lina in February of 1919 and it looks like they lived in Castelnuovo Dauno (Toggia) Italy...any help will be so appreciated.....Thanks Sue

Hello Sue, and welcome! :-)

Looks like your grandparents were married in MISSOURI on October 18th, 1903

See this marriage record - the bottom part!
He was living in Pittsburg, Crawford County, KANSAS; and she was from Carthage, Jasper County, MISSOURI :-)

In the 1905 Kansas Census you can see that they are living in Pittsburg, Kansas
(second family from the top)

Did your grandmother die before 1920?

And can you provide the names of the children of Alfonso and Lucy May?
