Help with 1758 Baptism record

Post by Congemi »

I would greatly appreciate help with this baptism record
Gabriele Antonino Giovanni Cancemi
baptised Jan 29,1758
s/o Onofrio & Elisabetta Cancemi
Record from Monreale, Sicily

Now does it state if Jan 29 is the day of his birth?
godparents?
Anything else of importance?
Thank you,
Tana

It seems to me that it states "nato nel loco delli frascinelli territorio di Monte ieri": "born yesterday (= january 28th) in the place called Frascinelli in the precinct of Monte". Godfather was Gabriele (Gabriello), son of the deceased ? and Antonia Sgamma (Sghamma).

To Pippo & Lucap,
Thank you so much for helping with the translation. Now it is on to his death recorded in the church records.
