EGW,

Welcome to IG!!

Is the Whelan/Gagliardo tree on Ancestry your tree?

Father Antonino Lomonaco's 1888 immigration record with son Giuseppe, lines 127 and 128. Antonino's year of birth about 1837. Departure port--Palermo; arrival port--New Orleans.

Possible 1890 manifest for Antonina Lomonaco, mother Rosalia and possible brother Francesco. Lines 222 to 223. Departure--Palermo; Arrival--New Orleans.
Spelling of last names is not correct but really close.

Yes, that is my tree. Thanks fo the lead on the immigration records, the dates look right according to the censuses I have. I will have to look further into them. Not sure about the Fransceco - don't have one so far but could be a cousin because of the last name.

Recheck the 1900 census for Antonino Lomonaco and Rosalia family on your tree. There are two sons listed--Jasper (Gaspare) and Frank (Francesco). Age is off by a couple of years based on the manifest and I can't explain why Gaspare wasn't listed on the manifest unless he travelled by himself.
