genealogy websites dedicated to the Palermo region
Hi, I have met many people that have said there are genealogy websites dedicated to the Palermo region. Since my family is not from this region, I never wrote them down. I have met more and more people from this area and would like to be able to tell them the websites. Thanks!

I know, I say a small prayer and check it weekly

As do I. New record additions over the past few months to Family Search has allowed me to locate the birth records of my great grandfather Antonio Mancuso's siblings, and narrow the possibilities for locating his parents' marriage record (Catanzaro records for Feroleto Antico). Likewise, the Archdiocese of Catania records have allowed me to locate my mother-in-law's ancestry back to the late 1700s (Bronte records).micheles wrote:I know, I say a small prayer and check it weekly
It appears that the records on microfilm available through the Family History Centers are gradually being digitized and put online for free. Although many of the records are browse only, just about everything I've found I've located via the indexes.
They've gotten my special thanks. It would have taken much, much, longer via microfilm and/or written requests to locate the records I found in a couple of evenings.

Someone on this forum found my great-grandparents marriage record on the family search, I was so excited! Unfortunately, they were not born in the town. I keep telling myself I should look and see if they had siblings.
