Hi,
My great grandfather was born in 1870, in the village of Priorato. The name, Priorato no longer exists and I was wondering if anyone knew where this village was located. I'm sure it was close to Messina. This is very important to my mother and I can't seem to get past my great, great grandfather. I was hoping that church records in the Priorato area would help me. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Laura

Re: Village of Priorato
Welcome to the website Laura. Do you have a record with that town on it? Why do you think Messina? I come up with this link in Parma area
http://itouchmap.com/?c=it&UF=-125850&UN=-192519&DG=PPL
City of Fontanellato,Parma Localities
Albareto, Cannetolo, Casalbarbato, Ghiara, Grugno, Parola, Paroletta, Priorato, Toccalmatto
Looks like a area or a section of the City of Fontanellato,Parma
