My grandfather arrived in America 1901 then was in Vancouver census 1910 trying to find out what and where he was in the intervening years..Name Eugenio Rubino born 1882 Mendacino Calabria..Then migrated to Australia 1912

It appears he may have gone back to Italy at least once before returning to the US

Here is a trip in 1904...
Eugenio Rubino, age 32, from Medicino.
States that he has been in US before - 1901/1903
Going to cousin Luigi Scanza(sp?) on Mulberry St. in NYC.
Looks like he is traveling with others from Medicino...
