Catasti Onciari for ITRI

Post by itrijay »

Ciao,

Does anyone know how to get a copy of the microfilmed catasti onciari census from 1754 from the archivi di napoli for the town of Itri, Italy? Or has anyone been to the archives in naples that could possibly do some research?

Grazie,

Jason

Suanj,

I would be interested in acquiring the book on Terra di Lavoro. My family is from Pizzone and San Vincenzo al Volturno, both part of Terra di Lavoro during the Catasti Onciari. What do this book contain? I live in the U.S. What would be the best way to obtain it?

Thanks,
Wendell

Hi: the best way, is to fax Arturo Bascetta Editore, and ask if are edited already the books of Catasto Onciario of ITRI, Pizzone and San Vincenzo al Volturno; if yes you can order it...

Does anyone know if the State Archives of Latina has the Catasto Onciario for the town of Monticelli, which is now part of Esperia in Frosinone? I can’t get their website to load. Thank you.

The State Archives of Latina does not hold any copies of the Catasto Onciario

The publication on the Catasto Onciario di Itri, as the title suggests, contains excerpts from the Catasto Onciario di Itri; it is not a full publication of that document. It may be important to get a general idea about Itri in 1754 and the major and most widespread families. To delve into specific aspects related to particular genealogical research most of the time one cannot disregard the examination of the original source, preserved in the State Archives of Naples.
