I need input about the occupation: "Grazone."
A relative on his 1818 marriage record, he was 25 years old, had his occuption listed: "Grazone."
On his death record at the age of 60 in 1853, his occuption is listed: "Grazone."
Research this occupation, I have found or the following definitions: "Shop boy, Waiter."
I have input from others that "Grazone" is really a "helper at a baker, stable, etc."
I am sure this relative was not a waiter, his father was a "contadino."
Was it common for a person to be a "Grazone" at the age of 60?
Any input about this occupation is appreciated.
John
