St.Tommaso Church in Caramanico Terme

Post by dinoconte »

I wish to write to the Parish Priest of St. Tommaso in Caramanico Terme that was founded in the 13th Century. I am working on the history of my ancestors from San Tommaso who would have been baptised & married in this church. If you know the Priest's name & the address of this church, please reply.
Kind Regards,
Dino Conte.

There are state civil records for the town from 1866 to 1942 available online at www.familyseach.org, in case you haven't seen those. You will need the church records though for earlier research and those are not online.

This is a website written in Italian, but I thought you might enjoy the photos on it of your ancestral church.

Thankyou so much for your replies; you have been extremely helpful.
Just wondering if the church archives only have baptism & marriage records ? I am writing a letter to this church & am wondering if they keep Death Certificates or other records other than the ones mentioned ?
Kind Regards,
Dino Conte.

You're welcome. In addition to baptism and marriage records, your ancestral church should have death records, and they may also have Confirmation registers or Confirmation records called Cresime. I am finding Confirmation registers among the Latin church records for one of my own ancestral towns.
