Rocchi or Belluomini(Bellamini) Family Italy????

Post by jenf »

Hi Everyone,

I am new genealogy and family research. In addition to my grandfathers side (Raffin in Cordenons Italy). I am also researching my grandmothers side. I would like to know what part of Italy her parents are from. If there is any family there. I have some information. Here is what I know-

Pietro Rocchi (mothers maiden name- Falloni) b- 5/5/1882 or 1876 d~3/15/1952 Born-Italy
Maria(Belluomini or Bellamini) b- 2/2/1879 or1879 d~ 4/09/1962
Born-Italy

Maria was married to a Deluca (Delucca) had 3 children and was widowed. Then she married Pietro Rocchi and had 4 girls (one is my grandmother Norma (Rocchi) Raffin 1914-1947).
Not sure where Pietro or Maria were married. But they lived in Santa Cruz, Ca.

I know Pietro did have a younger brother named Joe Rocchi that may have migrated over here from Italy.
Maria did have some sisters in the Santa Cruz area...one was named Filomena or Filumena. I do know one sister did married a Dalporto from that area.
thanks for any help, Jen

I am related to Dominic De Luca of Santa Cruz Ca. I do not know much about his brother other than the fact that he died in an accident shortly after my Great GF came here from Italy.

I know I may be too late, but I am a descendant of Pia Rocchi, daughter of Pietro Rocchi and Maria Belluomini. I have hit a dead-end when it comes to finding any information on either Pietro's parents, grandparents, etc.; or Maria's parents, grandparents, etc.

Any information anyone can give would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

My grandfather was Paul Belluomini born 1889 in San Ginese outside of Lucca. I've been told Belluomini is a fairly common name there. He immigrated to US in I think 1907. I know he had a brother but do not know his name. Not sure of any other siblings and all my elder relatives that would know are deceased. I know I have cousins that still live in San Ginese but have never talked to them and don't know their names. Try looking up church records as they're the most reliable I've found in Europe. I think my grandfathers fathers name was Pietro but don't know and birth or death dates. Pietro never left San Ginese. Hope this might give you some new ideas. Good luck in your search.
