Looking for 1919 obituary from Brooklyn, Kings County

Post by gliesian66 »

Any idea where I can find this obituary?

Maria Leonarda Lizzi
Birth 14 Nov 1878 in Troia, Foggia, Italy
Death 1 Dec 1919 in Kings City, New York (Brooklyn, Kings County)

What newspapers what the death announcement have gone into?

Thanks,
Robert

You might want to try the Brooklyn Daily Eagle at this website

Now, the death records are listed on the last page, but obituaries are listed in odd places...

Are the obituaries always a subset of the death records? That is, is it possible that someone chose to include an obituary but not a death record for the news paper?

Thanks,
Robert

I do not think you can assume that an obituary was written for every death...
