i am interested in the location of Pasquale's death. it looks to me that it occurred at the Ospedale del Bagno Penale in Gaeta. Is this accurate? is this a prison hospital?

thank

livio, although i am unable to decipher each word, i am assuming that the cause of death is NOT noted on this. if i am wrong about this, if you please would you indicate where this is mentioned.

obviously, i am quite curious as to the reasons this ancestor has been incarcerated. would documents of incarceration be in the collection of cittandinanze or atti diversi papers or some others? and, if so, would they be in the location of incarceration (in this case Gaeta) or in the comune where individual resides?

again, I am most appreciative

Hi Donna
I know you've addressed your question to Livio, but in looking over the document, I don't see a cause of death given. Hopefully Livio will agree with me when he gets a chance to look over the document again.

Quite frankly, I have never before encountered papers of arrest and incarceration, even among the citizen acts I have seen, but I can't say for sure that they wouldn't be among those kinds of acts or among diversi acts. They may have been there, but I might have passed them by because they weren't for surnames I was researching. I honestly don't know what else to say.
