Hi Tessa,
I am back after a few years away. Too many Mancini's and Nardella's.
How can someone find out the impossible?
Have been looking for Guiseppe Nardellas location in his final days, 1950s; and seems that my GF
Giovanni Mancini fell to earth from the sky.
Thanks,
Jack

He was born January 1, 1892. I see a name Giovanni Mancini on the passenger list of the Romanic
Into Boston in 1910. He was from Sava. His parents, sisters or brothers cannot be traced.

OK... will take a look at that.

Meanwhile, I posted a census for Giuseppe/Joseph Nardella...

Found another manifest for Giovanni - birthdate about 1891, from SAVA

Boston arrival

Boston, Passenger and Crew Lists, 1820-1954 about Giovanni Mancini
Name: Giovanni Mancini
Gender: Male
Ethnic Background: Italian (South) (Italian)
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1891
Birth Place: Sava, Italy
Age: 21
Port of Departure: Naples, Italy
Ship Name: Canopic
Arrival Date: 11 Aug 1912
Port of Arrival: Boston, Massachusetts
Friend's Name: Alberto Spagnola
Last Residence: Italy

This Giovanni is leaving FATHER Cosimo in Sava, goin to Worcester, MA to Alberto Spagnola (I think this is the same person from the 1912 NY manifest I posted.)

I have looked at many arrivals to Boston for Mancinis... Have only found one Giovanni Manicini on the Romanic in 1909, but he was age 12 and traveling with his family :-(

Can you post the manifest you found?

Jack, you posted this information in May 2012...

Giuseppi Nardella died in 1968 at home in Sava. The family villa was on Via Roma and was split up and sold after his death. Part of the property was given to Gigia??, a family servant. Also, Clorinda Buccoliero Nardella, Giuseppi's wife had a brother, Leonardo, who died in 1952 in Sava.

Guiseppe was my GM's father. Have good info on that side. Don't know where Guiseppe ended up after leaving US for Italy after family fight. Supposedly in the Trieste area. Guiseppe Nardella's daughter Mary, my GM, married Giovanni Mancini. But where did this guy come from?
I am not certain that GF is on any ship passenger list. Trying to connect this with what relatives are telling me; it does not line up. All I find is that Giovanni Mancini started his life in Winooski, VT.
His father was Francesco and his mother was Pasana Soloperto. I cannot confirm him on any ship manifest. Maybe he came in through Canada.
When I did this research in 2012, same ending...where did he come in?
