Marriage Record No 12
Date: 2 September 1861 Mirto
Antonino Librizzi, 26, born and living in Mirto, Farmer, son of deceased Domenico, and Rosa Lanate, Seamstress, cotton spinner/worker (filatrice) , living in Mirto.

Giuseppa Castano, 26, filatrice, born and living Mirto, daughter of Giuseppe, Bordonaro – deceased, and Rosaria Crapiti, weaver (tessitrice), living in Mirto.

The marriage was celebrated 2 September in this community.

(I can't decipher the script at the top of page 2) It looks like it is talking about the parents - probably giving their consent?

The banns (Notificazioni) were posted on 4 August of the current year.

Documents received so that the marriage could take place were:
1. Birth Certificate of Groom
2. Birth Certificate of Bride
3. Death Certificate of Father of the Groom
4. Death Certificate of paternal grandfather of the Groom
5. Death Certificate of father of the Bride
6. Death Certificate of paternal grandfather of the Bride
7. Notificazioni Certificate (Marriage Bann)

The bottom of page 3 and onto page 4 is basically just the names and details of the witnesses.

Documents received so that the marriage could take place were:
1. Birth Certificate of Groom
2. Birth Certificate of Bride

Just a correction to what Angela typed above.

1. was an extract of the birth of the bride (the actual birth act was not presented for this or any marriage; it was an extracted copy handwritten from the original record)

2. was an act of notoriety-supplemental to the act of birth of the groom. My understanding is that this means that the actual birth act of the groom could not be located, and that the groom made a public statement about his birth, and witnesses attested to it, and that this act of notoriety, rather than an extracted copy of his birth act, was presented as a supporting document for his marriage.
